A game for 6 players and 1 GM.
In college, your friends did everything together. You ate together, fought together, paired off and dated, lived in dorm suites together. Even when breakups happened, somehow, you all wound up back together again. At the end of college, you knew things wouldn’t be the same, but you all agreed that you would meet back at the Denny’s every 10 years, no matter what.
That was 50 years ago. Things have not always gone well for you, nor have you always gotten along, but, somehow, you always held to that agreement. A few years ago, Finch, the ringleader of your little group published a novel: Rearview Mirror: The Story of Lifelong Friends. All of you could tell that it was based on you, but it was not kind. Then it got turned into a movie and suddenly these caricatures of you were all over the media. Last spring, Finch died. None of you attended their funeral. This year is your meeting, and the ringleader’s adult child has come in their place to meet you all and find out what happened.
Rearview Mirror takes place in six scenes, over the course of five decades, starting from the end and working backward. In between the scenes there will be a workshop to figure out how you got here. Players start with full character sheets giving overviews of what has happened in between from their perspectives, but the details will be resolved through the scenes and workshops.
