TLDR version (but please actually read the details at least once); To attend you must:
- Be fully vaccinated (including fall 2024 booster)
- Take a Covid-19 rapid test (with negative result) the day you join us on site
- Masking is highly encouraged but not required*
- If you develop new respiratory illness symptoms less than 48 hours before the event, stay home so you don't expose other attendees
Peaky Midwest's purpose is to motivate people to write LARPs and to help new people learn how to write LARPs. We want to be very clear, the health and safety of our attendees is more important than any game we could write or run.
Details for attendees of our face-to-face events:
-
All attendees must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and have received the updated monovalent fall 2024 vaccine booster (vaccination status will be confirmed by an organizer before the event or at the door)
-
All attendees will take a Covid-19 rapid test on the first day of their participation in the event (before they arrive at the event), and only those with negative results will be admitted to the event
-
We highly recommend that attendees consider remaining masked in shared spaces but do not currently plan to require masks*
-
If you develop new symptoms consistent with Covid-19 or other respiratory illnesses less than 48 hours before the event, please stay home to avoid exposing other attendees
-
We ask that attendees who test positive for Covid-19 in the week after the event let the organizers know, so we can inform other attendees as appropriate (we will maintain your privacy as much as feasible during this process)
Writing teams will be provided with private spaces to work in on Friday and Saturday. You will need to negotiate with your team how you want to handle masks in these private spaces. We ask that you be respectful of your team members' health needs.
We will make an effort to provide outdoor spaces (weather permitting) for socialization, eating, and playtesting.
* The organizers, hosts, and safety team reserve the right to change this policy to require masks with little or no notice if anything about the situation indicates a change in the risks to participants. We will do our best to keep you promptly informed if we make such a change.
