A game for 5 players and 1 GM.
Famous romantasy author Diana Wells is about to release the final book in her Lands of Shadow trilogy. There’s only one problem: her characters don’t like their endings.
Players will embody an array of characters from the fantasy novel, A Realm of Sod and Night, who slowly gain autonomy and self-awareness, driving them toward decisions and paths that will radically change the book’s ending and their respective destinies—for better or worse.
Players will explore familiar fantasy tropes and themes of autonomy and free will, using meta devices and outside knowledge of the YA genre to fill in gaps in the story. The game is heavily imbued with comedic elements, but the tone of the game can vary greatly at the player’s discretion.
Content warnings: Arranged marriage, unrequited love, lack of autonomy
